We asked the children in Year 5 at Huntingtree Primary School to think about our school values and what they meant to them. As part of our week celebrating World Book Day the children worked with author and #edtech specialist Mark Anderson to explore creative digital writing. We wanted them to learn that books come in different formats and that digital texts can contain other elements in addition to the words. Most importantly, we wanted the children to experience the enjoyment of writing and the authenticity of having their writing published; hence our first digitally published book at Huntingtree Primary School.
The work you will read in this book has been independently written with collaboration between the children to show the values of our school. These are their words. The only words written here by adults are these.
We are very proud of their achievement and truly hope you enjoy this book.
